Employee Exit Management

Every organization aims to retain its employees , however it needs to prepare itself for employee exiting the organization at some point of time.

Most of the exits can be described as ‘voluntary’ in which case the employee submits the resignation and the organization relieves the employee as per the process defined.

In certain situations, the exit of the employee may be ‘involuntary’, which may be initiated by the management and not by the employee. These situations are complex and need to be handled with caution. Documenting the policy to handle employee exits, ‘voluntary’ and ‘involuntary’ will ensure consistency and compliance with legal. It must define responsibilities of the organization to ensure welfare of the outgoing employee.
